SHIRAZ
2021
VINTAGE & WINEMAKING
The 2021 winter saw average amounts of rainfall that continued into spring. Summer was warm and dry with good even temperatures. This provided excellent growing conditions which resulted in high quality Shiraz fruit with excellent tannin and flavour intensity.
Machine-harvested fruit was destemmed, cold-soaked, and fermented on skins with daily plunges. After pressing, it matured in French barriques (30% new) for malolactic fermentation, then blended, filtered, and bottled in January 2023.
THE WINE
The colour deep red with a purple hue, vibrant dark & blue fruits, pepper and graphite, fragrant violets with subtle savoury oak, perfectly balanced palate of dark fruits and layered spice. Fine seamlessly integrated oak tannin with fresh acidity driving the palate.
