VINTAGE & WINEMAKING

The 2024 vintage had a wet winter and early spring followed by dry and warmer conditions for Summer which continued all the way through to autumn. Due to the warmer temperatures harvest started approximately 3-4 weeks ahead of the average schedule!

The fruit was handpicked and transferred to the winery to be immediately destemmed and crushed into the press, thus preserving freshness. The separated clear juice was racked to tank for a cool fermentation with a champagne yeast strain. The wine was fermented and allowed to rest on its less for a period of three months before racking, fining, stabilisation and bottling.

2021

VINTAGE & WINEMAKING

The 2021 season brought above average winter rainfall and a dry, mild summer, perfect for ripening Riesling with vibrant acidity and fine tannins. Handpicked fruit was quickly destemmed, crushed, and pressed to preserve freshness. The clear juice was racked to tank and cool fermented with a champagne yeast strain to enhance purity and aroma. Post ferment, the wine rested on lees for three months to develop texture and complexity before racking, fining, stabilisation, and bottling. The result is a bright, well-structured Riesling with freshness, finesse, and impressive flavour clarity.

THE WINE

Pale straw in colour, this wine offers aromas of lemon blossom, citrus leaf, lanolin, and flinty notes. The palate is intense and citrus-driven, with fine phenolics and a crisp, acid led finish. With age, it has gained palate weight and greater harmony between tannin and acidity.
